Parking lot is small so you might have to park on road. Food is awesome. Snow crab legs were done just right much better then a restaurant on riverfront in Savannah. Husbands Steak was so tender he accidentally used a butter knife to cut it with. Even though it was very busy, service was fast. Even manager was checking on more

My husband and I went to Love's Seafood for my birthday celebration. We had been to Love's before, but never together until this evening. The atmosphere was very romantic. We were seated at a table that overlooked the river. It was beautiful and peaceful. A perfect ending to a lovely day. Our food was really the best we had had than anywhere in Savannah. My husband's tuna was the best he has ever had. My shrimp was cooked to perfection and the wine was a perfect match to our meal. The side dishes were special as well, with an old-fashioned home-cooked flavor. This dinner at Love's was the best either of us has ever had and it made the evening very special. We left very satisfied and happy that we had stopped. The quality of the food keeps getting better each time we come back. The service was top notch and our server, Makenna, got us anything we needed. She told us to relax and enjoy the atmosphere and even to take a walk down to the river. Our time at Love's Seafood was well worth the price and we will recommend to our friends and definitely plan to come back for special celebrations in the future. Our highest compliments to the chef and the owner's of Love's Seafood!read more

Our favorite place for shrimp and grits. Excellent service. Our server was the BEST! We were a little annoyed upon arrival because the hostess wanted us to sit outside because one of us has a service dog; not acceptable. You wouldn't ask someone in a wheel chair to sit outside. The manager tried to tell us the hostess was new. Well then, manager, employees should be trained better and learn the more

As the saying goes "don't judge a book by the cover", this is one of those places. It may look like a small shack from the road, but once you get inside, the space really opens. Suitable for large gatherings or just for couples, Love's can accommodate. The food is good and the fish is clean. Personally i love the grilled sea scallops, cooked perfectly everytime. On our last trip, we tried the alligator tail appetizer. Fantastically cooked, tender and flavorful. There are tables outside and inside dining. I prefer inside with a view of the more

Got the Crab Stew and it was the best I've had. There was a ton of crab and the flavor was great. I cant wait to stop there again.

If you want something a little different from the menu, they are very accomodating. My wife wanted her grouper fried and it was perfectly prepared.

Great seafood and atmosphere. I always try to eat here when my family visits Savannah. We had a party of 7 and the place was packed so I think our waitress was a little overwhelmed. She was extremely slow in bringing our condiments and water refills but very pleasant. I will return on my next trip here. Their hushpuppies are the best!read more

Located on the banks of the beautiful Ogeechee River, just 15-20 minutes from Downtown Savannah, Love’s Seafood and Steaks on Highway 17 South at King’s Ferry, offers fine family oriented dining in a rustic atmosphere, among the finest to be found in coastal Georgia. Since 1949, this restaurant, under the ownership of the Love Family, has offered to its patrons the very best in fresh seafood as well as premium U.S.D.A. Beef. No prepackaged items will be found here. Our portions are large; however we do offer a lighter appetite meal for children, seniors and the just not so hungry.  The restaurant was renovated and expanded in 1991 to accommodate over 250 seats. The glass enclosed porch overlooking the Ogeechee River is the most popular place to dine for our adult customers. This area as well as the outside patio covered dining, offers spectacular views of the evening sunsets and an occasional manatee or alligator. Most all of the seating available offers these spectacular views. We offer a full bar with a wide variety of your favorite spirits. As a result of our customers continued loyalty a new larger kitchen has also been added, leaving additional dining space in our lounge.  In October 1993 Love’s Seafood was selected by Paramount Pictures for one of the many filming locations of the academy award winning movie “Forrest Gump” starring Tom Hanks. In May 2007, we were honored to be announced as one of Coastal Living Magazine’s Top 25 Seafood Dives in the Coastal United States.

Love’s is a special place. Please come and have a look around. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers who have continued to help make our business a success over the years.
